Velocity Dance Center officially kicks off its Fall Season with a full weekend of beloved and brand-new contemporary dance. Join Velocity for three nights of their Fall Kick-Off event, September 24-26, and their culminating BIG BANG! performance party, September 27.

The three evenings of the Fall Kick-off event are packed with works by Seattle’s most influential and talented artists, including Velocity co-founder KT Niehoff, Cherdonna Shinatra, Kate Wallich, Peggy Piacenza and so many more. New pieces will be performed each night, challenging and exciting audiences with sneak peeks of choreography to come in 2016. Those familiar with the PNW dance scene will have the seldom-afforded opportunity to relive some of their favorite artistic moments of the past year.

Sunday’s BIG BANG! promises to be the full multi-media experience. Dance, installations, media, theatre and more artistic experimental ventures will fill the evening, resulting in an event that is equal parts party and artistic showcase.

Velocity Dance Center is one of Seattle’s leading performing arts centers. Their support of local and emerging artists through education, commissions, residencies, and outreach speaks to their dedication to the collaborative artistic process and the creativity they seek to foster in the Pacific Northwest.
