It’s that time of year again! Summer brings warm weather, colder drinks, and exciting events like the annual Capitol Hill Block Party, from July 24 through July 26. Capitol Hill Block Party takes over six city blocks for three days of live music from the hottest local acts and international chart-toppers, with art installations from regional artists and of course beer gardens (three) and food from food trucks and local restaurants, all of which makes for intense people-watching between acts. Performances run day and night (starting at 4PM on Friday and 2PM on the weekend) on four stages and at the Cha Cha Lounge.
As usual, the event boasts a quality lineup of emerging and established artists. This year, goers will be serenaded by acts including Ratatat, TV on the Radio, The Kills, Toro y Moi, Built to Spill, Broods, Ivan & Alyosha, Giraffage, Shabazz Palaces, Slow Bird, Zoolab, Smokey Brights and Unknown Mortal Orchestra (just to name a few).
Single-day, two-day and three-day tickets are still available. Buy your tickets now. Get more info and see this year’s sponsors on the info page of the official website, where you can also see the full lineup.
