Summer is in full swing and there is another heat wave rolling in, so come celebrate the warm weather (or bask in the air conditioning) at the Henry Art Gallery on July 18 from 8 to 10 PM. The event features a bevy of fun and exciting activities and events, and is a great opportunity to check out the Henry’s latest exhibitions, including the video installation by Michelle Handelman in the the upper galleries, “Irma Vep: The Last Breath.”
Visitors can look forward to a perfume workshop led by Saskia Wilson-Brown of the Los Angeles-based Institute for Art and Olfaction, as well as a performance by Seattle-based soul-hip-hop-electronica masterminds Fly Moon Royalty. An ArtBreak, led by a local artist, will also be on the agenda, providing visitors with a deeper understanding and experience of the current exhibitions at the Henry Art Gallery. Kick off your weekend with this energetic and artistic crowd.
Henry Members are invited to a special happy hour from 7 to 8 pm.
Tickets are free for members, $12 for students and $20 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased here.
