Black Friday is right around the corner, and while you may be busy adding to your shopping lists, the season of giving has just begun. This holiday season Caffe Vita will be partnering with Food Lifeline in an effort to stop hunger in western Washington.

Fifteen percent of Washington State’s population goes hungry, yet there is a tremendous amount of food waste, especially around this time of year. That is why Food Lifeline approaches hunger as a logistical problem that they believe can be solved by rallying the community and mobilizing resources to provide meals for those in need.

Starting next Friday, customers at Caffe Vita can donate $1, $5, or $10 until Sunday, December 14 in stores or online. Donations will be matched. For ever dollar donated, Food Lifeline can provide four meals to those in need. A little goes a long way, and with the support of the Seattle community, big things can happen. Join Caffe Vita and Vanguard Seattle in giving back this season!
