The Drop, directed by Michael R Roskam and starring Tom Hardy (Inception) and James Gandolfini (The Sopranos), tells the story of a lowly Brooklyn bartender Bob Saginowski (Hardy) who gets caught up in the complex world of gambling “drops” and money laundering. Cousin Marv (Gandolfini) deals dirty and packs a punch with sickening knowledge of the underground world in which he is connected.
